With 20 years of experience but no qualification on the A320, I needed to become familiar with the aircraft’s cockpit and understand how to operate in a fly-by-wire environment. The instructor immediately understood my expectations and tailored the session accordingly. He took the time to brief me on the specific features of the flight deck (FMA, FCU, A/THR, etc.). Prior to the session, he had designed a structured one-hour training program, which proved extremely valuable. After the session, the debriefing was highly relevant, as he had accurately identified all the difficulties I had experienced. He remained very attentive throughout the session, and his advice stayed with me, ultimately helping me succeed in the selection process and secure a position with Wizz Air."
